Kurt Zenz House

Kurt studies and develops methods for large-scale capture and storage of anthropogenic carbon dioxide. Prior to co-founding C12 Energy, Kurt co-invented and patented electrochemical weathering, a novel process to produce CO2[subscript] negative cement and concrete by accelerating the ocean’s natural ability to absorb CO2[subscript]. Kurt received his Bachelor's degree in Physics from the Claremont College in 2001, and his Ph.D. in Geoscience from Harvard University in 2008. While at Harvard he co-founded the Harvard Energy Journal Club to facilitate cross-disciplinary discussions about energy science, energy technology, and energy business.
