BBN Technologies Opens New Office in Minnesota

Expansion to Attract Top Talent and Complement Expertise

Cambridge, MA – May 20, 2008

BBN Technologies, an advanced technology solutions firm, today announced the opening of a new office in St. Louis Park, Minnesota. The expansion to Minnesota lays the groundwork for continuing growth in the region and will enable BBN to recruit additional technical talent and address an increasing demand for its technical expertise.

With its proximity to Minneapolis and the abundance of nearby colleges and universities, St. Louis Park offers a rich pool of technical talent. The initial staffing of the St. Louis Park office will include nine highly trained scientists and engineers with expertise in networking, navigation, and autonomous systems, complementing BBN’s core expertise in advanced networking protocols and signal processing. The company expects to add expertise in other areas as the staff grows over the next 12 months.

BBN now employs nearly 700 people and operates in six locations in the US. In addition to the new Minnesota office, BBN is located in Cambridge, Massachusetts (headquarters); Arlington, Virginia; Columbia, Maryland; Middletown, Rhode Island; and O’Fallon, Illinois.

Ed Campbell, executive vice president, BBN Technologies, said "BBN relies on technically talented people, and we see Minnesota as a great source of new hires. With this new office, we can tap into that talent pool and give the best technical people in the area an opportunity to join a growing organization that values their expertise."
