Highwinds Launches London Sales Operations to Drive Growth in Europe, Middle East and Asia

Stephan James to lead business development effort targeting EMEA partners and customers for Highwinds' Content Delivery Network

Winter Park, Florida and London, UK – May 7, 2008

Highwinds Network Group, Inc., a multi-platform IP services and content distribution provider, today announced it has launched sales operations in London to better serve its growing base of partners and customers in Europe, the Middle East and Asia. Stephan James, who will be handling Highwinds' EMEA sales operations will enable the company to extend its global reach as a premier Content Delivery Network (CDN) provider.

The recently opened London Content Delivery site at 240 E. India Dock Road, complements Highwinds' other European CDN site in Amsterdam. The site boasts an impressive 48Gbps of CDN capacity built into 12 racks. In addition to its CDN site in London, Highwinds also operates a network and peering gateway at TeleHouse Docklands which is connected to E Dock Road via fiber. The London sites are fully integrated into Highwinds RollingThunderTM Network with multiple 10 Gbps links to Amsterdam, Paris and across the Atlantic to North America.

Newly hired by Highwinds, James will work with service providers and media companies looking to implement new strategies for the delivery of video and other media content over the Internet. For these companies, Highwinds' RollingThunder™ platform provides the optimal CDN. RollingThunder offers important advantages in data center peering, real-time analytics, instant account provisioning, rapid content deployment, complete content control, massive scalability, and other critical differentiators.

"Stephan's background as a world-class consultant for CDN technologies and related products -- including Managed Servers and other Managed Hardware -- is invaluable for our international expansion," said Mark Hayes, Vice President of Business Development and Marketing for Highwinds. "His extensive experience -- reflected in a highly successful sales and management track record -- will help us rapidly reach our EMEA goals for growth."

"The Highwinds CDN provides the breakthrough in delivery infrastructure and services that meets the expectations of digital media consumers for ever-higher levels of real-time interactivity and animation," James said. "I look forward to working with Highwinds' EMEA partners and customers to help them achieve their business goals leveraging the lightning-fast delivery of rich, engaging content."

Before joining Highwinds, James was a streaming media consultant highly regarded for his expertise in helping companies develop professional services organizations and sales programs in the CDN space. Prior to that he was a director at Globix Corp for five years where he was also the top-performing sales executive four years in a row, winning over 200 key accounts for the company.
