MocoSpace Top 3 Mobile Site in the US According to Opera

Quarterly Report Shows the Mobile Community Ranks in Top 3 with US Mobile Web Users along with MySpace and Google

Boston, MA – May 20, 2008

Boston, MA - May 20, 2008 - MocoSpace, the social network for mobile phones, is the 3rd most trafficked site on the mobile web in the US according to web browser company Opera.

Opera's State of the Mobile Web report measures the traffic trends of its millions of users around the world. According to the report, over 63% of US mobile web traffic is to social networks. The findings show that MocoSpace is one of the top ten destinations in a number of countries including the US, UK, South Africa, India, and Indonesia.

"Our first quarter State of the Mobile Web report for 2008 confirms that the mobile web is a very social place," says Tatsuki Tomita, SVP Consumer Products, Opera Software. "MocoSpace has created a service that capitalizes on this growing trend. So much so that mobile phone users in the US have downloaded Opera Mini and access MocoSpace for an improved browsing experience from almost any phone."

"Opera's findings show a notable trend with mobile social networking in the United States and validate the popularity of MocoSpace among mobile web users," said Justin Siegel, co-founder and CEO of MocoSpace. "Social networking has clearly established itself on the web, and its now quickly becoming apparent that it's finding its way onto mobile phones."

MocoSpace recently set a new company milestone by generating over 1 billion page views a month in March.
