SunBorne Energy is joining forces with the University of South Florida, the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi and IMDEA Energy to develop a 1MW solar power tower. Research and development for the cutting-edge project will draw upon the expertise of Dr Yogi Goswami, Dr Manuel Romero and Dr Aldo Stienfeld, with funding coming primarily from the Indian Government’s Ministry of New and Renewable Energy and SunBorne

SunBorne Energy, a Kholsa Ventures-backed company and Suntech Power Holdings Co. Ltd., the world’s largest producer of solar panels have entered into an agreement for the supply of 100 MW solar panels for solar PV projects in India over the next two years. The agreement includes an initial order of 10 MW for a project in Gujarat, India.

SunBorne Energy Technologies, a solarpower developer backed by billionaire Vinod Khosla, is close toarranging 1.5 billion rupees ($34 million) in loans from threebanks for its first plant in India.  SBI Capital Markets Ltd., a unit of India’s largest lender,is arranging the deal, SunBorne Chief Operating Officer GaganVermani said today by telephone.

SunBorne Energy, a leading specialist in utility scale solar solutions, and Suntech Power Holdings Co., Ltd. (NYSE: STP), the world's largest producer of solar panels, have entered into a framework agreement for the supply of 100MW of solar panels over the next two years for projects in India.
