KAYAK, the world’s leading travel search engine, released a new version of the KAYAK for iPhone application that integrates the site’s baggage fees tool. Coming only two months after the company launched a major upgrade to the application, the updated app also adds new flight, hotel, and car rental search capabilities.
Fifteen students from MIT's Sloan School of Management will visit five different companies during the school's Massachusetts Tech Trek. One of them, Microsoft, is publicly-traded. The others include Kayak (a travel site you may have actually heard of), HubSpot, DemandWare, and Rapid7, a Boston-based "IT vulnerability management" company with about 100 employees.

A review of KAYAK travel search data showed that most people searched for their Thanksgiving flights well in advance. 77% of people on KAYAK sites searched for flights at least 30 days before Thanksgiving, and less than 3% of people waited until the last week before the holiday.
KAYAK, the world’s leading travel search engine, launched KAYAK Trips, a free itinerary management tool that easily consolidates travel plans from multiple travel sites into one web-based itinerary. To use the service, people simply forward booking confirmation e-mails from travel suppliers and online travel agencies to their KAYAK user account.
