Press for Boxee, a leading producer of news, information and events dedicated to the business, technology and content of online video, today announced that its upcoming annual Streaming Media West Exhibition and Conference will include an in-depth presentation by Boxee CEO Avner Ronen on the first hardware platform by Boxee, the Boxee Box by D-Link. Ronen will give a guided tour of the Boxee Box and provide his thoughts on the Internet TV landscape. Attendees will learn what consumers keep asking him for, and how he sees the competition stacking up in a conference session entitled "Boxee – Cutting Through the Hype of Internet TV" on Wednesday, November 3 at 1:45 p.m.

With networks like CBS and ABC s DIS) blocking Google TV devices from accessing its full episodes, one has to wonder what’s in store for future owners of the Boxee Box, some of which will receive their device as early as November 11. Boxee got in trouble for accessing Hulu contentearly on, and it’s hard to imagine that some of the networks that decided to block Google TV won’t try to prevent access from the Boxee Box as well.

Amazon will start shipping the Boxee Box to customers on November 10, with other retailers throughout the world offering the device beginning on November 17 both online and in stores.

The Boxee Box's launch finally has a date.  Those who preorder the set-top box from or Best Buy will be get their hands on it November 10. Those who plan to wait will find the Boxee Box on store shelves a week later.
