Demandware on Monday announced that sunglass specialty retailer Solstice is taking its first step into the ecommerce arena by announcing the launch of its new online retail store www.solsticesunglasses.com built on the Demandware Commerce platform.

Demandware Inc. has completed a $22.4 million equity offering to six investors, an amended SEC filing shows.  The Woburn, Mass.-based ecommerce company took in $15 million last year.  Principals named in the filing include president and CEO Thomas Ebling; CFO Scott Dussault; and directors Stephan Schambach, who is the chairman and founder of Demandware; Larry Bohn from Cambridge-based General Catalyst Partners; Michael Skok from Waltham-based North Bridge Venture Partners; Dean Breda; Charles Kane, most recently from a non-profit affiliate of MIT; and Jit Saxena, most recently from Marlborough, Mass.-based Netezza.
