Brightcove, the leading online video platform, announced that Warehouse, a leading UK women’s fashion retailer with 320 stores countrywide, has rolled out a host of new online video initiatives, including a new iPhone video application, using the Brightcove platform. Warehouse, which is owned by Aurora Fashions, is leveraging the Brightcove platform to support its Style Studio TV fashion portal at, which showcases the latest in fashion trends from Warehouse and enables visitors to view and purchase products directly from within online video experiences.

Video platform provider Brightcove June 22 released a software development kit for smartphones based on Google's Android operating system and new mobile templates for Adobe Flash Player 10.1, which launched with support for Android 2.2 devices in the Android Market. Brightcove's support for Android comes as multimedia consumption on smartphones are on the rise. This is particularly true on the iPhone and Android devices, which are powerful enough to serve video, animations, games and other content without a hitch.

Brightcove, the big online video services company, has released a comprehensive solution for Android devices, for the mobile Web, and for native Apps.

Brightcove released a new software development kit today for Android applications that includes mobile templates supporting Adobe’s Flash technology.  Developers will be able to design native apps that allow video playback, search and discovery or use out-of-the-box templates that play video using Flash.
