Brightcove announced several new updates and added features for its platform, saying it planned to continue to roll out new features on a monthly basis as customer demand for them heats up the space.
SVP of marketing Jeff Whatcott in his blog noted a few of the latest developments, among them a new adaptive encoding engine, new player customization technology, and geo-optimized uploading, upgrades he says will immediately impact customers.

In an effort to keep its market momentum going, online video management startup Brightcove has announced that it hired a new senior vice president of sales for North America. Former EMC and Savvis executive Paul Goetz will be joining Brightcove’s executive team to keep its sales organization growing while driving customer acquisition in its home market.
