Fifteen students from MIT's Sloan School of Management will visit five different companies during the school's Massachusetts Tech Trek. One of them, Microsoft, is publicly-traded. The others include Kayak (a travel site you may have actually heard of), HubSpot, DemandWare, and Rapid7, a Boston-based "IT vulnerability management" company with about 100 employees.
Imprivata®, Inc., the employee access management company, has been named a 2010 SC Magazine Award finalist in the Reader Trust Award category for Best Multi- and Second-Factor Solution and in the Excellence Award category for Best Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) Security Solution. In addition, its customer Bill McQuaid of Parkview Adventist Medical Center has been named a finalist in the Professional Award category for the CSO of the Year. Winners for the 2010 SC Awards, which recognize outstanding achievement in information technology (IT) security, will be announced on Tuesday, March 2, 2010.
