Ben focuses on private equity investments in both new and existing businesses in a variety of growth stages. Areas of special interest include companies in the technology, communications and media, and business services sectors.

Prior to working in the growth equity group at General Catalyst, Ben was at the investment firm Fortress Investment Group, where he served as a Vice President in the distressed and special situations hedge fund. At Fortress, Ben focused on structuring debt and debt-related investments across companies in a variety of sectors. Prior to Fortress, Ben worked for several years in M&A and leveraged finance investment banking at boutique New York investment banks Peter J. Solomon Company and Broadview International. Ben has also held roles at Marvel Entertainment and IBM Corporation.

Ben currently attends Harvard Law School, and holds an MBA from the Wharton School, MSE in Computer Science, and dual BSE/BSE degrees in finance and computer science summa cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania.
