My journey to venture capital has been accidental and somewhat unusual - I worked on a farm and in a tile warehouse before receiving my undergraduate degree. Upon graduation, I began my career working to scale a new business unit for a fintech company. It was in this role that I first got a taste for the ever-evolving private markets and business building.
My career took a turn when I joined J.P. Morgan as a founding member of their Private Capital Markets business where I advised founders and management teams on private financings across their balance sheet and worked to institutionalize this budding marketplace of entrepreneurs and increasingly differentiated capital providers. Here, I got a front row seat to the trials and tribulations of entrepreneurship and discovered my innate passion for building and scaling new products and initiatives. Importantly, it was also where I developed my deep empathy for the founder’s journey and tailoring mutually beneficial solutions for companies and investors alike.
I came to General Catalyst to carry on this journey and apply my experiences to continue scaling our mission-driven platform and build meaningful relationships with partners who share in that vision. Venture capital sits in the rare nexus of people on inspiring missions, innovative ideas and capital and it is a privilege to be a part of such a dynamic ecosystem.
Outside of work, I can be found spending time with my wife and kids where I am a proud girl dad to two young daughters. I am also an avid fan of New York sports, fishing and travel, where I am eager to make progress on my increasingly long list of bucket list destinations.
