Joey Chan
HATCo

I work on the Strategy and Execution team at the Health Assurance Transformation Company (HATCo). My focus is on transformation planning and developing an enabling vehicle to advise and spread HATCo's transformation thesis – that a true partnership between caregivers, innovators, and capital will help healthcare organizations become more vibrant and sustainable, and better equipped to serve everyone in their communities with greater impact.
Before joining HATCo, I held several positions at the Cleveland Clinic Health System in the Ohio and Florida markets starting in 2014. I began as an administrative fellow and was later appointed as the enterprise’s first Director of Workforce Planning and Integration, where I developed and executed workforce strategies for over 27,000 nursing caregivers and integrated seven acquired hospitals into the nursing enterprise. Most recently, I served as a senior director to activate, operate, and scale clinical/provider operations in Cleveland Clinic’s new Florida market.
I graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a BA in Economics. During my time at Cal, I chaired and grew the International Student’s Advisory Committee, which focuses on service and advocacy. I then received my master’s degree with a concentration in Healthcare Management from Yale University, where I also served as a senator on the Yale Graduate Student Assembly.
Growing up playing rugby, I admire the physicality and humility of the sport. I now reside in Florida with my wife and our toddler. You’ll often find us going for a walk in the park with our son and soliciting parenting advice.
