Nmachi Jidenma’s life mission is to drive transformational impact and bend the arc of human progress. She was drawn to the tech industry because of technology's power to transform the lives of people and communities. Over the years, this led her to take on various partnerships and leadership roles at WhatsApp, Facebook and PayPal. As a strategy and business development leader, she forged alliances with global industry leaders, helped bring new products to market and designed dynamic ecosystems of partners and developers. Over time, she increasingly found herself advising founders on go-to-market topics. This inspired her to transition to the venture industry by joining Sequoia Capital as a Senior Director.  

She was deeply drawn to General Catalyst’s commitment to help build enduring companies that create financial and societal impact and in 2022, she joined the GC team. General Catalyst’s mission to invest in powerful, positive change that endures is highly aligned with her life mission. She is passionate about partnering with ambitious founders who create category defining companies and who actively seek to change the status quo for the benefit of humanity. 

Outside of work, Nmachi enjoys traveling, reading and making music. She is also a trustee of her family’s foundation, which advances leadership, mentorship and socio-economic development in Africa.
