Paula Wehmeyer
Paula Wehmeyer is an investor in General Catalyst's European office in Berlin, Germany, where she centers on advancing GC’s Global Resilience thesis. Her primary focus lies in the modernization of critical sectors, such as manufacturing, robotics, supply chain & procurement, and national security. Paula is deeply passionate about driving innovation into established industries globally, with a special emphasis on fortifying Europe.
She joined GC from her previous role at La Famiglia, an early stage VC fund backing companies like Deel, Personio, and Applied Intuition. Before becoming an investor, she was a strategy consultant with McKinsey & Company, working with leading industrial and consumer companies on topics such as supply chain and IT strategy - giving her a strong understanding of established industry buying centers and digital transformaton agendas.
Paula studied at the German entrepreneurship hub WHU and at the London School of Economics (LSE). When not investing, Paula is actively involved in philanthropy, serving on the board of the Fritz and Thekla Funke Foundation, working on improving the lives and education of children in Europe. She loves Taylor Swift and is an ever-improving calligrapher.
