Priya Mohan
Priya Mohan is a partner at General Catalyst - India, a venture capital firm that partners with founders from seed through growth stages and beyond to build companies that withstand the test of time. At GC, Priya, along with Neeraj Arora, lead India investments & creation opportunities by partnering with and co-creating transformative companies that would play a significant role in the economy. Priya focuses on all opportunities in India and is based out of Bangalore.
Priya Mohan joined GC via its merger with Venture Highway (VH), a leading seed firm in India, in which she played a pivotal role in growing and building the brand. Prior to the merger, Priya was a Managing Partner at VH and is a Board member in many of its marquee companies across sectors. Prior to her stint as an investor, she co-founded Vidyartha, in 2012, an EdTech platform for students in grades 6-12, which she ran for six years before successfully exiting to Byju’s in 2016 - a leading Indian EdTech play. In 2016, she was a state guest of the United States for the coveted IVLP program (International Visitors Leadership Program) along with edupreneurs and educators from 18 countries.
Before entering her entrepreneurial journey, Priya spent 9 years working as an investment banker and equity research analyst, where she helped high-growth companies raise private equity, structure & execute complex transactions across private investments, secondary sales, and buyouts.
A chartered accountant and a Management Graduate from the Indian School of Business (ISB), Priya is a trained danseuse in Bharatnatyam, an Indian Classical dance form, and has performed for over 13 years across India with top artists and is a recipient of a few accolades in the field. She was admitted recently to the highly coveted Kamalnayan Bajaj Aspen Fellowship to its tenth cohort.
