Aakanksha Sharma is a Principal at General Catalyst - India, a global investment and transformation company that partners with the world’s most ambitious entrepreneurs to drive resilience and applied AI. At GC, Aakanksha invests in fintech and consumer companies across stages. 

She brings approximately 12 yrs of experience in the Indian investing and financial services domain. Prior to joining GC, Aakanksha was a Principal at Venture Highway (a seed-stage Fund) and a VP at IvyCap Ventures (a Series A/B focused Fund). 

Her journey of being an investor began with an internship at Samara Capital, a mid-market PE firm. She started her professional career as an investment banker, where she worked on M&A / capital restructuring mandates for banks and insurance companies in the US and Europe. 

Aakanksha did her MBA from IIM Lucknow and undergrad from SRCC, Delhi University. She is also a CFA Charterholder.
