Anant Pai
Investment Team
Anant is an investor on the Health Assurance team, partnering with founders from the earliest to growth stages and beyond.
After considering a career in international development (working at the World Bank and non-profits in Latin America and the Caribbean), he began his career at McKinsey & Company, where he focused on performing commercial due diligence and partnering with large organizations (healthcare providers, governments, and foundations) on digital transformation. Prior to General Catalyst, he worked as an investor at Revolution, a multi-stage venture capital firm where he focused on early stage investments across sectors, including fintech, enterprise software, and healthcare.
Coming from a family of healthcare practitioners, he is excited about GC’s focus on systems-level transformation that tackles the expansive set of operational, clinical, technological, and social challenges that can cause illness. He hopes to partner with visionary founders who have intimate knowledge of these challenges and support them in realizing solutions that preventatively care for patients, align incentives across parties, and contain rising healthcare costs.
He holds a BA in Applied Mathematics from Harvard College. Outside of work, you can catch him hosting dinner parties and trying out new recipes, sampling workout classes, voraciously consuming audio books and podcasts (but somehow always managing to add content to his list more quickly than he can consume it), or binge-watching reality TV (which he will deny vehemently).
