I lead General Catalyst’s Health Assurance strategy. I invest across all stages and sectors in healthcare, with a focus on AI-native companies modernizing care delivery, value-based care infrastructure, and the platforms that will enable a health system that is proactive, affordable, and accessible for all.
I believe that now is the time for transformative action in U.S. healthcare. After decades of fragmentation, rising costs, and uneven outcomes, there is an unprecedented opportunity to create a healthcare system that delivers for everyone through innovative technology. The U.S. is on the cusp of meaningful consumer and provider enablement, powered by healthcare-specific clinical AI companies that are built to navigate the complexities of American healthcare.
While trained as a growth stage investor, I now invest across all stages. I enjoy bringing the lessons from more mature businesses to companies in the early stages of product-market fit, while also helping growth stage companies stay connected to the startup innovation happening around them.
I came to healthcare after a decade investing in software and technology companies. I began my career at Guidepost Growth Equity, where I developed a thesis of investing in highly scalable businesses in industries undergoing digital transformation. I later discovered a passion for collaborating with successful management teams while advising technology companies at AGC. Now, I apply those lessons — navigating complex industry transformation while working hand-in-hand alongside founders and executives — to healthcare.
I am a member of the Board of Trustees and Investment Committee of Bowdoin College and a Board Member of All Raise. I live in Marin County with my partner Mike, our two daughters Quinn and Riley, and our dog Bo. I enjoy competitive active sports, including running, hiking, and biking. I'm also now learning to surf and welcome your advice on the best breaks.
